Reflecting on my senior year, the only thoughts I have are those of gratitude. My senior year was cut short, but nothing can lessen the transformational experiences that I had at Drury. My professors became mentors who I turned to when I was unsure and they always managed to take time out of their day to help me. My friends became my greatest supporters who made time in their schedules to hang out even if we only had enough time to eat dinner in on a Friday night before we had to get back to our studies. I learned a lot at Drury, but many of the greatest lessons that I have learned were not taught in the classroom. The greatest lessons I learned were that asking for help when I need it is acceptable, reminding people of things I need from them is not obnoxious, and the greatest gift that can be given is taking the time to listen without distractions. I could never express the true extent of my gratitude to everyone who took the time to help me at Drury, but I do hope to make them proud by continuing to remember the lessons they taught me. Thank you Drury, for making me the person I am and setting me up to be successful in life.
